“What happens when conservative Christian families have children who are homosexual”?

I, myself have a pretty good idea. They try to “convert” their children to the accepted heterosexual ways, generally if this does not work, they give up on the child and loose contact with them (loose sounds like an accident…rather choose not to have contact with them).

I am interested in watching this film as I truly do not understand how people can give up on others because of what gender they choose to love.
Sexuality is NOT a choice.
