The Dr’s are performing a biopsy on the growth on my mom’s lung today. Yesterday, they were testing bone density, as my mother had been having stiffness in her hips and the Dr’s were concerned that the tumor had spread. The tests are not yet conclusive, however at this time; they feel my mom has non-Hodgkin's lymphoma.
My sister told me that the swelling of my mother’s body (because the tumor had been pushing against one of her heart valves and cutting off blood circulation) has gone down, and that my mother is feeling “better”.

I am waiting to find out the diagnosis, and the treatment they propose, prior to booking my flight to go home. My sister suggested I come home when my mom gets out of the hospital, so that I may be there for her when she gets home.
