My mother's Primary Dr. agreed to make copies of my mother's Medical Records as long as my sister called and asked for them. My sister had taken my mother to some of her appointments, so they were familiar with her and agreed to provide copies of my mom's records. My sister picked the records up today, and will mail them to me tomorrow; she already sent me copies of my mother's medical records when my mother was in the car accident which broke her back. I've yet to actually receive these records in the mail, and I'm wondering why they have been delayed. Perhaps because it will be hard on me, reading about my mother's health issues, learning about everything she endured- all the surgeries and therapy to learn to walk again, and with the upcoming records, learning all she experienced prior to, and being diagnosed with Lung Cancer.

I know it will be painful to read over her records, but I miss my mother so much and want to feel connected to her even more than I was when she was alive. I want to learn all about my mother-not just as my mother, but aa a twice divorced, mother of two, handicapped, compassionate, fun-loving, sad, manic/deppressive woman.
