As long as they hold one woman down..they hold us all down.
We need to Unite against all injustice.

All for one.
And one for ALL.

I speak of my girlfriend often.
I've been told at times that people don't believe she actually exists...and they think I make her up.
She is too good to make up.
Honestly.
Even in my wildest dreams, I could not make up a person as caring and sweet as she is.
I want to let everyone know that it is not easy putting up with me.
But she does it.
She loves me.
And I love her.
Everyday, we work on our relationship.
And it's worth it.

I am a lucky monkey.

One of my friends is working on eliminating his debt. By filing for bankruptcy. I'm a little unclear on this process...
If one gets themselves in debt...decides they don't want to have to pay off their bills...can they decide not to be responsible for this debt anylonger by filling bankruptcy?
That's my understanding from this person.
The thing that gets me is that this person makes quite a bit of money. Can you make a lot of money, and still file? Where does this debt go?
I guess I can understand the need to file if there was somekind of emergency in which one aquired this debt...but what about frivolous spending?
Does this mean 7 years bad-luck?

I received an email today that started out like this:

Dear Jennifer;
Since you are a friendly person-- I will start with you.

-guess I got some people fooled...or at least one....

I helped Annie set up for her event tonight….I shook her hand…that hand has been more places than I can imagine…

I think I better wash it!!

I’m going to Las Vegas next weekend with my friend Mark. I’m pretty excited to have an opportunity to get out of town, even though it doesn’t seem as if it will be a relaxing escape.
It’s been a few years since I’ve been to Veags, my last visit was during the opening of The Bellagio, so it will be interesting to see what buildings have sprung up.

We realized yesterday that someone came into one of our large rooms here at The Center, and stole a video projector. Let me just take a moment to explain. We provide space (at a cost of course) and audio/video (at more of a cost) for eventholders. We have two large rooms that have audio and video capability. Both of these rooms are equipped with a projector that is bolted on the ceiling. Apparently, someone “broke” into the room on the 4th floor Sunday used the ladder that we found in the kitchen to climb up and unbolt the projector from the ceiling and find their way out of The Center with this item.
I have been informed that this projector only responds to the remote control…which was not taken, and I was informed that the value of this item is 11K. Eleven thousand dollars! That’s another persons job right there!!

This confirms it for me once again….

People are stupid, self-centered idiots!

So, we found out today who would be layed off, and who's hours here at The Center would be reduced.

There was one position eliminated, and four others that went down to 30 hours a week.

My position was not eliminated, and my hours were not cut. I guess I am one of the "lucky" ones, however, it's hard to feel good when others are feeling bad. The women who's position was eliminated is the one person I was most concerned about, as she has kids. She was not in the staff meeting when we found out, but after came around saying goodbye. It was difficult, as she was crying, but trying to be hopeful about this opportunity. I told her to keep me informed of what she is up to, and if there is anything, anyway I can help her to let me know. She appreciated that, and said she would see me tomorrow....as she is taking the free ASL class here at The Center.

I wonder if these cutbacks are enough to sustain this place...or if they are only a band-aid to a fatal injury.

The fun we had at Folsom.
